On August 5, 2011 the Russian Microfinance Center in cooperation with the Institute of Bankers at the Association of Russian Banks delivered the open consulting training «Anti-Money Laundering / Combating Financing Terrorism (AML/CFT) through credit consumer cooperatives and microfinance organizations: legislation requirements and application problems».

During the training, special 8-hour target safety training on the issues of combating legalization of all registered microfinance institutions was delivered, which is necessary for the leaders and specially appointed officials. The problems of revelation of huge and suspicious transactions in credit cooperatives and MFIs, preparing reports for the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, the possibilities of organizing efficient work contacts of self-regulated organizations and state authority in the sphere of financial monitoring, etc. were also reviewed.

The list of the MFIs and credit consumer cooperatives' specialists who have completed the training – the report register in the established standard form – was sent to the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring.

The next training will be delivered on September 28, 2011.

On August 18-19, 2011 the new RMC consulting training "Legislative Requirements in Machining Personal Data in Microfinance Institutions (MFIs and Credit Consumer Cooperatives). Theory and Practice" was successfully delivered. Within the framework of the training all necessary actions were reviewed required to MFIs for no breach of laws, both in the part of comprising mandative documents, and in the part of practical accident prevention of the personal data. The participants found the training timely and useful. They noted that it allowed them to systematize the incomplete knowledge. The training is planned to be repeated in September.
